Membership in the Academy
Membership in the Academy has the ranking-based nature: the IASHE Academician (full member) status-title can be granted by the Scientific Council of the Academy on the basis of assessment of the scientific and educational work of the applicant, his\her creative activity, the quantity and the quality of original publications and innovations.
Membership in the Academy is granted after the applicant passes the scientific and analytical, bibliographic or honorary (authoritative) academic programs.
Depending on the actual scientific achievements and (or) the results of passing and mastering of the academic programs, applicants can acquire the following IASHE status-titles (the hierarchy of statuses is indicated sequentially — as their organizational, image-based and academic significance grows):
Corresponding member of Academy;
“Tropos-Academician” (or “Sapphire Academician”; 1 vote at meetings of the Scientific Congress of the IASHE);
“Mesos-Academician” (or “Ruby Academician”; 2 votes at meetings of the Scientific Congress of the IASHE);
“Therme-Academician” (or “Diamond Academician”; 2.5 votes at meetings of the Scientific Congress of the IASHE);
“Exo-Academician” (or “Brilliant Academician”; 3 votes at meetings of the Scientific Congress of the IASHE).
Confirmation and consistent improvement of academic status-titles is based on the norms of the Regulation “On the basic conditions for the acquisition and confirmation of the IASHE academic status-titles”.
The mechanism for implementation of academic programs is presented in detail in the “Projects” section of the website.
Currently there are 85 scholars from 37 countries in the list of the Academy’s full members (Academicians) and corresponding members. Detailed information about the Academy members (numbers, names) is confidential in accordance with the decision of the IASHE Congress No. 94-0318/rd-ca of 03/03/2018. The status and powers of the Academy members are confirmed by their personal academic documents. Upon the request of the parties concerned, the IASHE Secretariat may provide official information about membership and activities of certain scholars in the Academy, but only with their consent.
Persons wishing to acquire membership in the Academy should send a corresponding request to the Secretariat via e-mail.
